On the occasion of the international event "Cluny 2010 European Abbey of knowledge", which marks the 1 100th anniversary of the founding of the Cluniac order, the Centre for National Monuments and Arts et Métiers ParisTech Cluny Centre, which occupy part of the former monastic buildings, decided to use virtual reality to address the frustration of visitors who find an empty slot in the great Church. Their goal? Allow 100,000 annual visitors perceive the site as accurately as possible, this heritage gone through High Tech unreleased devices that combine current vision and virtual elements of the past.
